Foxtailor is an open platform that allow numerous competing Foxtailor operators to vie for the information from consumers. A consumer choose one of the Foxtailor operators to trust with their information. The operator then use this information to the benefit of the consumer.
At any time the consumer may decide to move their information to one of the other Foxtailor operators. The platform will ensure that all information is moved to the correct operator and that only that operator has access to the consumer's information.
The Foxtailor platform protect consumers' information through a system of legal and technological safeguards.
Legal safeguards
The legal safeguard is based on a contract between the consumer and the operator. This contract allows the operator to be the custodian and representative of the consumer's personal data under terms that protect the consumer's data while giving the operator freedom to use the data to the consumer's benefit.
Foxtailor has a separate contract with each operator concerning operator rules of conduct and auditing policies.

The technological safeguard is based on internet standards like PKI, BlockChain, DNS, Virtualization, HTTPS, etc. This technology is constantly evolving to keep pace with the latest technology standard.
